Services are provided from 6 main libraries in different parts of the province and through the HONNI website which is the primary gateway to electronic resources for local HSC professionals. Additionally some hospital sites have limited library facilities, or a 'HONNI hub' which provides an access point for HSC professionals to use the HONNI website via a dedicated computer.
Simply register as a member of the Medical & HSC Library. All you need is a completed Registration Form and proof of your HSC employment (e.g. copy of work ID). You will be issued with a membership card and a username and password to access electronic resources.
Library staff can provide tailored advice on literature searching and training in the use of electronic resources. Help and advice is available in all libraries and staff are there to assist users to make the best possible use of its resources. Library Guides are available covering various aspects of library services including how to find resources in a particular field.
If you have already joined the library and want more information on how to get the most out of the services and resources available, try reading some of the Library Guides or avail of training from the subject librarians.
